Manuel Antonio National Park, on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast, encompasses rugged rainforest, white-sand beaches and coral reefs.

Spending a full year in Costa Rica was nothing short of transformational. I based myself near Manuel Antonio National Park, a lush paradise on the central Pacific coast where the rainforest meets the sea in the most magical way. Each day brought a new encounter—sloths swaying lazily in the treetops, curious capuchin monkeys sneaking through the canopy, vibrant toucans flashing by, and coatis wandering fearlessly through the underbrush.
As a photographer, it was a dream. I spent countless golden hours quietly observing, capturing the untamed beauty of the park’s wildlife against a backdrop of white-sand beaches, emerald rainforest, and coral reefs teeming with marine life. There was a rhythm to life here, dictated by the tides, the calls of howler monkeys, and the soft hush of the jungle.
This wasn’t just a trip—it was a deep dive into nature’s raw poetry. And through my lens, I found a new kind of connection—not just to the animals, but to the world, and to myself.
